Do You Have A Construction Project We Can Help With?
USF Stadium Project Update: Earthwork Complete, Utilities Underway
Our team at Burgess Civil is proud to support the progress of the University of South Florida (USF) Stadium project, where momentum remains strong and steady. With earthwork now finalized, we’ve entered the next major phase: utility installation both onsite and offsite.
Earthwork Phase Completed
Over the past several months, our crews have delivered extensive grading and site preparation services across the stadium footprint. This foundational work included:
-
Mass grading and site balancing
-
Subgrade stabilization
-
Soil compaction and testing
-
Coordination with geotechnical and structural teams
Completion of this phase ensures the site is ready for vertical construction and long-term infrastructure performance.
Utility Installation in Progress
With the groundwork complete, we’re now focusing on underground utility installation, both within the stadium site and connecting to the larger network offsite. This includes:
-
Water and sewer lines
-
Storm drainage systems
-
Electrical and telecommunications infrastructure (in coordination with project partners)
Multiple crews are active across key work zones to maintain momentum and meet upcoming schedule milestones.
Looking Ahead
The USF Stadium project is moving forward on all fronts, and we’re proud to play a role in building what will become a major landmark for the university and Tampa Bay community.
We’ll continue to share progress updates as work advances toward the next phase of development.
